Fitness Zone

Fitness Zone activities are good ways to get the cobwebs out when students' attention begins to flag. These quick breaks are fun and can help students re-focus.

Hot Potato

Prepare a list of review questions about the health lesson. Organize students into small circles. Give each group of students a ball to pass around within the circle. Play some lively music and have students begin to pass the ball. Stop the music, select one of the circles, and have the person who has the ball answer a review question. Others in the student's circle may help if the student cannot answer the question. Resume the music and the ball passing for a short time, then stop the music and ask the student holding the ball in another group the next question.
